Pulmonary Function Testing

Pulmonary Function Testing

We provide spirometry testing within the office. This involves taking a deep breath and blowing as hard and as fast as one can for 3 seconds. This is repeated 2 more times to get a better sample reading. The primary purpose of pulmonary function testing is to identify the severity of pulmonary impairment. Pulmonary function testing has diagnostic and therapeutic roles and helps clinicians answer some general questions about patients with lung disease.
