Robert C. Vanzant, MD
Robert C. Vanzant, MD is a native Houstonian. He graduated from Rice University and Baylor College of Medicine. He was the chief resident in Baltimore where he performed his Family Practice residency. Dr. Vanzant started a practice in Houston 1977.
Chief of staff, Memorial City Hospital; Chief of Staff of Houston Methodist West Hospital; President, Harris County Family Practice Academy; President, Houston Academy of Medicine, and President, Harris County Medical Society.
Clinical interests include preventive care for all ages and management of chronic diseases such as diabetes, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol. He has several 4-generation families in his practice.
Dr. Vanzant has been married for more than 40 years and has 2 daughters and 6 grandchildren. When not in the office he enjoys gardening, traveling, reading, and SCUBA diving.
