K. Lara Adejumo, MD
Dr. K. Lara Adejumo completed her undergraduate studies at Morris Brown College, Atlanta, Georgia, where she was Valedictorian of her class. Following this, she attended Boston University School of Medicine, in Boston, Massachusetts. She later completed her training at Memorial Family Medicine Residency Program, based in Memorial Hermann Hospital, in Houston, Texas. Dr. Adejumo is excited to join Village Family Practice with over 10 years of experience as a Primary Care Physician.
Dr. Adejumo has a strong interest in humanitarian medicine and has been a leader and a participant in medical missions to Honduras, India and Nigeria. She has also volunteered in a Houston-area clinic that provides care for uninsured people for the last 3 years. Her medical philosophy places a strong emphasis on plant-based eating habits, staying physically active and maintaining good, regular contact with one’s primary care doctor for preventive services for the whole family. In addition, she has extensive experience with managing chronic conditions like high blood pressure, diabetes, and thyroid disorders, among many others.
The Houston area has been home to Dr. Adejumo for over thirteen years. In her personal time, she is proud to be a Zumba dance instructor, a voracious reader and an aspiring tennis great. Most of all, Dr. Adejumo loves spending time with her family and friends.
