Jennifer E. Burbridge, RN, FNP-C
Jennifer E. Burbridge, RN, FNP-C graduated from The University of Texas in Austin with a bachelor of science in nursing in 1997. She worked as a labor and delivery nurse at Texas Women’s Hospital for 4 years before going back to school for her masters in nursing at The University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston and becoming a family nurse practitioner in 2004. She has worked in family practice for most of her career as a nurse practitioner but worked 3 of those years with an endocrinologist. She became very experienced working with patients with both type 1 and type 2 diabetes doing insulin adjustments. While working for the endocrinologist she became a Medtronic insulin pump trainer and did all the pump trainings in that office.
Jennifer has experience with all aspects of family practice from seeing patients as young as 2 years old and up. She is currently working with Village at Home, which is part of Village Family Practice, 3 days a week seeing adult and geriatric patients in their homes. Twice a week she works in the office of Village Family Practice, North Houston Rosslyn location seeing patients of all ages.
Jennifer grew up in Houston graduating from Memorial High School in 1991. She enjoyed playing tennis there on the Memorial junior varsity tennis team and cheerleading her senior year.
When Jennifer isn’t working she enjoys hanging out with friends and family, seeing movies, learning about history, travelling and going to see her horse out in Needville, TX. She has a huge passion for animals, especially horses.
