Atillo Abreu, MD
Dr. Atillo Abreu received his Medical Degree from the University of Zulia, School of Medicine in Maracaibo, Venezuela. He worked as a general practitioner for one year in a small town in Venezuela and then decided to pursue a training in Family Medicine. He attended the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Rockford Family Medicine Residency Program where he graduated in 2012. Then he moved to Houston due to family reasons.
He enjoys to treat the entire family as well as complex and chronic diseases including diabetes, HTN, hyperlipidemia, thyroid disease, asthma, COPD and migraine headaches. He also encourages his patients to practice preventive medicine, maintain healthy habits and a balanced nutrition. He is board certified in Family Medicine and a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians. Additionally, he performs small office procedures including skin biopsies, incision and drainage of abscesses and joint injections. He also has extensive practice in managing acute illnesses and urgent care conditions.
Dr. Abreu is married and has two daughters. He is fluent in Spanish and enjoys traveling with his family, staying home watching movies and taking his family to the zoo.
